How to Win the Bet!
In order to win the bet with Coach Ramsey and be able to shave his head and dye Brandon’s hair the team must do one of the following at the National Cross Country Championships Meet;

Win ten of the twelve divisions at the national meet, or
-
One of the teams must score a perfect score by finishing first through fifth as individuals, or
-
Three teams in one division must finish first, second and third, or
-
The team must accumulate, over the course of the national meet, a total of fifteen points that will be awarded in the following manner;

Any team that finishes first at the national meet will be awarded one point.

If two teams in one age group get first and second they will each be awarded a point. No points will be awarded to a team that finishes second
unless our team also finishes first.

Each individual that wins an individual national title will give the team ½ point.

If two individuals in one age group get first and second they will each be awarded ½ point. No points will be awarded to an individual that
finishes second unless the first place runner is also on our team.

Since the team won the bet in 2008 and they were unable to shave Coach Ramsey's head and dye Brandon's hair the following will occur on the 2009 national trip;
- Brandon will have his hair dyed on the first night of the bus trip to the 2009 national meet.
- Coach Ramsey will have his head shaved on stage after the 2009 CCCNYC awards ceremony.
We will determine a new bet for the 2009 national meet during the season. Coach Ramsey suggests it involve some of the other coaches!
