COVID-19 GUIDELINES

The only thing that will keep us from having an entire cross country season is the government telling us that we can't. We must ask therefore that all athletes and their parents &/or guardians help us make this possible by following our established team guidelines.

Using the most up-to-date COVID-19 guidelines in combination with being prepared for even more restrictions we will use the following guidelines for all of our practices until further notice. It is our hope that by establishing these safety protocols now that it should allow us to have our entire cross country season. We will continue to provide the most possible fun, rewarding and educational experience possible for every runner who becomes a member of the Brocaw Blazers despite these restrictions.

The following COVID-19 guidelines are in place for all Brocaw Blazers practices for the 2021 cross country season;
  1. At the beginning of practice for all participation drills all runners will wear their masks and stand six feet apart on their designated spot. They will be allowed to remove their mask only to show their smile and then immediately put them back on.
  2. Runners will be able to remove their masks when they start running. We ask that the kids not run in packs &/or stay separated by six feet.
  3. Upon returning from their run they will then put their mask back on for their planks on their spots.
  4. Everyone (including parents and guardians) that leaves their car to attend practice will be expected to wear a mask.
  5. Always cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
  6. We ask that all runners wash their hands before coming to practice and also when they return home.
Failure to adhere to our COVID-19 guidelines could prevent the athlete from participating in practices &/or meets.

REMINDER: Always wash your hands thoroughly before you eat to help prevent the spread of germs. Avoid touching your eyes, ears, nose and mouth with your hands. If your throat is bothering you and if you feel like you're getting sick, please contact Coach Ramsey! DO NOT come to practice if you feel sick or have a fever!
